  • Create a new natural environment in your garden or home.
  • Primary school and pre-school children will enjoy making their own dunes at home.
  • Find out more about dunes.
  • Walk some of the Norfolk Coastal Path or explore some of the circular routes around the villages in the film.

  • Look at the names in your family tree. Has anyone got a name linked to the time of year they were born? Or is there a name that passes down the generations?
  • Explore the collective names of animals – test your family!
  • Visit your local church and/or war memorials and look at the names. Are there names you would recognise today? 
  • Explore wood and stone carvings in your local church.
  • With adult supervision, try carving a flower or animal in a bar of soap.
  • Explore Latin names of flowers – visit your local garden centre or open garden.

  • Coastal erosion in Norfolk is a huge issue. Look at this video from a student in Happisburgh.
  • Explore different coastal defences.
  • Can you explore your locality from above – has a parent or member of your community a drone they could provide footage from? Please make sure you adhere to current regulations. 
  • What different types of settlements can you see?
